Sotheby's Sales Preview Opens in Moscow

MOSCOW—A Sotheby's exhibition opening tomorrow in Russia's capital and running through November 11 will showcase 24 Russian paintings expected to bring in up to rake in $75 million at auction in London later this month, Bloomberg reports.

The November 26 and 27 sales will feature work by Ivan Aivazovsky, Wassily Kandinsky, and Mikhail Larionov, as well as Natalia Goncharova's Bluebells (circa 1909), which is part of the exhibit at the State Historical Museum on Moscow's Red Square and worth £3 to £5 million.

The first Evening Sale of Russian Art on November 26 has a total presale estimate of £15 to £23.4 million, while the November 27 auction has a presale estimate of £8.7 to £12.6 million.
