Biography
Irma received her Ph.D. 1993 from the University of Graz, Austria. Painting has been a lifelong pursuit of her. While studying in Graz and in Vienna, she started activities as an artist with charcoal, verre eglomise technique, collages, installations and acrylics with mixed media in her leasure time. She visited museums and galleries all over the world, reviewing and studying all types of art.

Philosophy relies a lot on the drawing process to convey ideas that transform into art and easily lend themselves to structural art. Fascinated by the way the paint and colors and different materials interact with each other, Irma developed her own style.

Colors, materials and structure of her paintings should evoke a sense of passion and mystery in the viewer.
