A noted Indian-born and Washington, D.C.-based artist, Anil Revri
creates contemplative images using the tools of ‘op art' and the eclectic
influences of his country of birth. Revri attempts an ordering of a universal
nature, neither heroic and declarative nor merely descriptive. In his complex,
dancing matrices of primordial dots, Revri is revealing the pathways of the
universal and perhaps sublime network of which we are all a part. Revri was the
first Indian artist to have a solo exhibition at a major American museum. He
has had numerous solo and group shows in India,
Europe and the United States.
His work is featured in museums and major collections worldwide, including The
Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, DC and the Library of Congress, Washington, DC.
