About Throckmorton Fine Art
Throckmorton Fine Art is an art gallery based in New York. We specialize in vintage and contemporary Latin American photography, Pre-Columbian art and textiles, and archaic Chinese artifacts.
Included in the Vintage photography inventory are images by such luminaries as Tina Modotti, Manuel Alvarez-Bravo, Edward Weston, and Martin Chambi.
The Contemporary inventory includes works by artists such as Mario Algaze, Mario Cravo Neto, Valdir Cruz, Flor Garduño, Luis Gonzalez Palma, and Graciela Iturbide to name a few.
The gallery also maintains an extensive inventory of male nude images by Arthur Tress, Bruce Weber, Bruce of LA, Dianora Niccolini, Edward Muybridge, George Platt Lynes, Hans Fahrmeyer, Lon of New York, Tom Bianchi, and Baron Wilhelm Von Gloeden.
The gallery's extensive inventory includes major works of museum quality. We are committed to showing works by established as well as emerging artists. The gallery is unusual in that we encompass a wide variety of material in many mediums: photography, textiles, paintings, works on paper, and sculpture.
In addition, the gallery offers a wide range of curatorial and design installation services.
