About Hasted Hunt
Sarah Hasted and W.M. Hunt founded their gallery HASTED HUNT in 2005. Both have been active in the art world for 50 years combined. Ms. Hasted has been a curator and dealer for over 22 years and Mr. Hunt has been a photography collector for 35 years and a dealer for 12. The gallery represents an international group of contemporary artists with work that ranges from portraiture, traditional landscape to conceptual photography.
Their artists have exhibited widely in museum and gallery contexts in the United States as well as internationally. HASTED HUNT’s exhibition program is unique for its bold aesthetic and innovative promotion and appreciation of contemporary and vintage photography. Gallery artists have been recognized for their outstanding achievements by the National Endowment for the Arts, Ford Foundation, Guggenheim Foundation, Deutsche Borse, Lucies, W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund and the ICP Infinity Award among others. The gallery consistently arranges and facilitates museum exhibitions for their artists and places the work in such esteemed institutions as the Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the National Gallery of Canada.
HASTED HUNT has the exclusive US representation of Erwin Olaf, Andreas Gefeller, Paolo Ventura, Jean-Paul Goude and Lynne Cohen. They have received much critical acclaim and coverage in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Photo District News, Photograph, The Art Newspaper and Fortune Magazine among others. They were specially featured in the BBC’s series titled “The Genius of Photography.” Hasted Hunt also specializes in the resale and exhibition of vintage works and serve as consultants to many private collectors and institutions.
