Victorian Women Historians
February 26, 2009—August 6, 2009
This showcase display highlights Victorian women historians and art historians. It includes a sensitive chalk drawing of Agnes Strickland whose seminal work, Lives of the Queens of England, was one of the most popular history books published in the Victorian period, and rarely seen photographs by Hill and Adamson of art historians Anna Jameson and Elizabeth, Lady Eastlake.
