About Flint Institute of Arts
The Flint Institute of Arts was founded in 1928 by a group of citizens who felt that the community needed an art center where students could pursue studio courses and the public could enjoy art exhibitions.
Flint Institute of Arts is a museum and art school dedicated to collecting, preserving, and presenting art of the highest quality from around the world. Visitors can enjoy an active program of changing exhibitions, masterpieces from the permanent collection, a weekend art film program, studio and educational classes, and a variety of special events throughout the year.
