Hélène Guetary — Biography
|
Hélène Guétary is a Renaissance woman, having worked as a film director, painter, illustrator, photographer and writer. As a young artist she created a series of sculptures for the Pompidou Museum in Paris. In the 1980’s Guétary moved to New York where she published a book of photos called Skin Deep – Federico Fellini wrote the forward – featuring fantasy images juxtaposing body painting and costuming. With inspiration from Fellini and a grant from the Polaroid Foundation, Guétary continued to explore images using print, video, drawings and writing. |
