My work includes medicinal plants with healing powers, spiritual energy, childhood memories of my grandmother and her garden, and life itself:  birth, struggles, emotions, cultural experiences, death. Herbal imagery conveys nature’s spirituality as found in Taoism. I also use herbal medicines like alternative ones found in America to explore the cultural exchange between Eastern and Western cultures. Intimate visual spaces conjured by spirituality invite viewers to a special journey: into an imaginary land, the work.
