Claude Hemeret — Biography



1929 Born in Nice, France

 

 Born in Nice in 1929, thanks to his childhood spended in the sun, Hemeret grew fondling southern lights and scents fed him and quenched his thirst. His canvases recall the lavender’s perfume, cypresses, and the blazing Sun at noon.

His paintings seems to reflect the life he leads, rythmed by nature, Hemeret searched a life just like he used to paint…

Hemeret cultivates love and friendship with a talent and an art, which have nothing to envy to his pictorial genius. Though, no portrait on his pictures, no person, evens a hazy figure. As to people, Hemeret prefers to have them near him.

And we are those men, we are the ones who admire this painting both sensitive and cheerful; thrilled with delight, we feel a huge real and pure bliss overcoming us at the sight of these “ still-lives ” never still, but full of liveliness, vitality, and humanity!
