My current body of glass sculpture is the quiet embodiment of interior space and three-dimensional reflection. The collaboration of smooth glass and fused steel in these sculptural forms is, to me, a symphony of contradicting resources. As in life, the clear, smooth, pure surface projects the complex interior landscape of cut peaks and valleys that are veiled in steel to project an honest, earthy texture. Most of the work I make is narrative, I use each piece of glass to tell a story in my life or something I have observed. I use the rusty steel to give a sense of time passing and corrosion.
