Cornelia Macfadyen — Biography
|
MacFadyen's work is abstract expressionist. Her paintings are rich in color and texture. Each painting evokes a different response from its viewer. The subtle changes in texture and color obscure images lurking in the background. Through her painting MacFadyen strives to touch each person. She reaches within to allow the viewer to have an experience of themselves.
MacFadyen, a native New Yorker, studied art at the Art Student's League and Pratt Institute. Here she received a classical training with a heavy influence from the impressionists. |
