Zhong Biao was born in 1968 in Chongqing, Sichuan Province. He graduated in 19991 from the Zhejiang Fine Arts Academy and is now an associate professor at the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. His five solo exhibitions included the 1995, The Fable of Life which was displayed at the Art Museum of Sichuan Fine Arts Academy. Zhong Biao’s art and his artistic values have to be understood in the context of the cultural and social changes happening in China.  As a sensitive artist, he has captured the pulse of China’s social reforms through the visual symbols that have been a part of Chinese cultural life for centuries. Seeking to emphasize the continuity of time, rather than its disjunction, he juxtaposes the old with the new. The porcelain appears alongside the Mao, the sculpture alongside the McDonald's – successfully creating a wholistic experience of the values and traditions of his native culture.
