Post-modern artist Antonio Segui, uses wit and humor to interpret man’s role in contemporary urban life. Segui’s paintings, which challenge any pre-established style, are colorful cityscapes filled with engaging, oddly proportioned but properly attired figures. Men who are involved in hilarious and mischievous activities vastly outnumber women. Some of these characters possess unique abilities ranging from the super-powerful to the mildly neurotic and guarded. Antonio Segui’s successful career includes numerous individual exhibitions, and his work is part of collections at major museums, corporations, and universities throughout North and South America, Eastern and Western Europe, Iraq, and Japan. The first retrospective in France of Antonio Segui’s works on paper was held at the renown Centre Pompidou, Paris (June - October 2005). News & Features
