Sculpture Garden
June 6, 2007—August 31, 2007
The Irving Arts Center’s Sculpture Garden was designed by Dallas-based landscape architect Mahlon Perry and is noted for its dramatic curved walls, large reflecting pool, a water wall, graceful landscaping and grassy areas for sculpture placement. It features temporary exhibitions of sculptures by Texas artists including Eric McGehearty, Buster Graybill, Jerry Dodd, Joe Barrington, Larry Whiteley and Roger Colombik; permanent installations by Jesús Moroles and Michael Manjarris; the monumental mosaic Irving Centennial Mural created by artist Francisco Mendoza with Irving youths; and the recently donated sculpture ’03 Politicized Democracy by John Brough Miller.
