Early Signs: Celmins, Puryear, Youngblood

The MCKEE GALLERY is pleased to announce the opening of our exhibition entitled "Early Signs," featuring the work of Vija Celmins, Martin Puryear, and Daisy Youngblood. This exhibition, focusing on their earlier works, will include Celmins' paintings from the sixties, Puryear's wood and steel mesh sculpture of the seventies and eighties, as well as fired clay sculpture by Youngblood. Coincidentally, all three artists are recipients of the MacArthur Foundation Fellowship Award (1997, 1989, and 2003 respectively).
