Siah Armajani: Dialogue and Democracy

Iranian-born American sculptor Siah Armajani uses simple sculptural forms to convey complex ideas.  This exhibition will feature 12 works from the Nelson-Atkins’ collection.  Armajani finds the standards of democracy within models, chairs, doors, bridges and other objects.  Each work fuses fine with applied art and abstraction with function.  Armajani seeks to recover art’s connection with commonplace experience.
