Marion Post Wolcott: Photographs
October 20, 2007—December 14, 2007
Over 40 photographs by Marion Post Wolcott feature her work from the 1930s and 1940s, and specifically her best known photographic documentation for the Farm Security Administration between 1938 and 1941 in New England and the south. They provide a look at daily life during this period, portraying both the poor and the wealthy as well as racial discrimination in the south. Her political activism and concern for social inequality are evident in the significant photographic record she made.
