Mapping the Past: A Selection of Antique Cartography from the Newton Collection

June 1, 2008—December 30, 2009

Maps depicting North America, Great Britain and the world are on view in the museum's three map galleries. Highlights include 1597 maps from the earliest atlas of the Americas, 1776 military maps, and other 17th- and 19th-century maps, some of them hand-colored.
