PAST EXHIBITIONRoger Tolson: The Exploded View Images of the City at war
August 21, 2007—August 21, 2007 Roger Tolson, Acting Head of Collections at the Imperial War Museum, London, will explore how artists have described cities in modern warfare. He will discuss the notion that since the dawn of the 20th century images of the built environment have become exemplars and measures of chaos, fear and destruction, and look at the social re-ordering and redefinition of urban identities.
