Professor John Onians - 'Neuroarthistory: How the Eye Moves the Artist's Hand and How Art Moves Us All'

We have always wanted to know what goes on in the mind of the artist, the patron and the ordinary viewer. Thanks to neuroscience we can now start to see what goes on; and, when we cant see, we can imagine.  That is what great thinkers have been doing for over two thousand years, often surprisingly anticipating neuroscience's latest findings. John Onians is Professor Emeritus of World Art at the University of East Anglia.
