Perhaps the biggest challenge facing a journalist who sets out to trail the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Gary Tinterow is keeping up with the curator as he strides past the masterpieces in the Met’s galleries.
The work is one of 16 for sale from what the house is calling “the most important and valuable collection of Impressionist and modern art ever offered by Christie’s in Europe.”
