Fondation Beyeler
This year, as every year, the 20-minute tram ride out to the Fondation Beyeler seemed like the best deal in town. The museum's current Fernand Léger show is a real eye-opener: not just a thorough retrospective but also a fascinating show-within-a-show that compares Roy Lichtenstein’s borrowings and homages with Léger’s originals. Also, they’ve re-hung the permanent collection, and you get the sense that Sam Keller has just begun to make his mark.
