An artist known as Doves made this piece (a “piece” is more intricate, colorful, and time-consuming than a throw-up) in 2000, according to Claw. “He’s a really talented kid,” she said. She also talked about how much more difficult it is to make a piece like this now than it was in the ‘80s. “It used to be, you could just roll up on a Saturday with a backpack full of paint and do a piece,” she said. “With just the advent of cell phones alone, it’s much harder now—people love to call the police on you.”
