Subodh Gupta Opens at Jack Shainman

A room-size untitled 2008 work forces visitors to navigate around a 20-foot table equipped with a sushi-style conveyor belt carrying stacks of Indian serving vessels. More than one visitor at the opening compared the work to a cityscape, with a skyline that constantly reorganizes itself as the towers move slowly across the surface.
