NEW YORK—P.S. 1 kicked off summer with its Opening Day Celebration, which brought out an international pack of artists and patrons who basked in a fresh slate of exhibitions and lounged beneath a new outdoor installation.

Artists in attendance included Todd Bishop, Phong Bui, Jim Denevan, Jon D'Orazio, Gandalf Gavan, Christian Marclay, Bernd Naber, Adam Putnam, Lee Quinones, Sam Samore, Sarah Scandiffio, Jim Shaw, Peter Young, and Tunga.

And of course, Ben Ball and Gaston Nogues, of the Los Angeles-based Ball-Nogues Studio, were there to drench visitors as they unveiled their Liquid Sky installation, which won the museum’s 2007 Young Architects Competition.

P.S. 1’s director of operations Antoine Guerrero, director Alanna Heiss, and project director Jelena Kristic also joined in the festivities, along with curator, critic, and editor Neville Wakefield, and international curator Eugenie Tsai.
