MARBACH AM NECKAR, Germany—Germany's Museum of Modern Literature has won the prestigious Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Stirling Prize for architecture, the Independent reports. The institute praised the "remarkably low-cost" museum designed by David Chipperfield Architects for being simultaneously "rich and restrained."  The award is given to the designers of the building which has been the most significant for the evolution of architecture in the past year. Other buildings shortlisted for the prize included the America's Cup Building in Valencia, Spain; Casa da Musica in Porto, Portugal; Dresden Station Redevelopment in Germany; the Savill Building in Windsor, England;  and the Young Vic Theatre in London.
