LONDON—Christie’s and Vanity Fair hosted a private viewing party in London on October 10 for Christie's upcoming auctions of postwar and contemporary art, but the artworks weren’t the only stars in the house.

Famous faces who came to peek at the artworks, dine on sumptuous fare, and sip champagne included the artist Christo, the filmmaker David Furnish, entrepreneur and socialite Jade Jagger, and actors Rhys Ifans and Mary-Kate Olsen.
