MIAMI—Doug Aitken is refashioning his film Sleepwalkers, projected nightly last winter on the Museum of Modern Art's exterior in New York, for the Miami Art Museum’s new building, reports the New York Times.

Aitken, who has never before tailored one of his videos, will show it on the Herzog & de Meuron-designed building, scheduled to open in 2011.

The original Sleepwalkers follows five New Yorkers who awaken as the sun sets and thenventure into the city at night.

Aitken, who was in Miami this week scouting locations, says he plans to add two Miami-based characters.

He expects to begin shooting next month the stories of a transient man who wanders the city and a young, female Latin American who works as a lighthouse attendant and travels through different urban neighborhoods.
