Twice the TalentBy ARTINFO

NEW YORK—Take a pair of Transylvanian twins known for their quirky prints, woodcuts, watercolors, and installations, throw in some free beer and a rising star band, and an instant party comes to life. The formula worked for the Museum of Modern Art on November 28, when it hosted “A Night with Gert and Uwe Tobais," a private celebration and viewing of the Tobias’s new exhibition, “Projects 86.”
Guests got an eyeful of the twins’s haunting-yet-playful installation, an earful of sweet sounds from post-folk band Lewis & Clarke, and mouthful of edible and drinkable German-inspired treats. Click on the photo gallery at left to see for yourself. |
