Hugo Boss Prize Finalists Announced

NEW YORK—The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation has announced the six finalists for its 2008 Hugo Boss Prize: Christoph Buchel, Patty Chang, Sam Durant, Emily Jacir, Joachim Koester, and Roman Signer. The biannual award is worth $100,000 this year, up from the $50,000 winners have received since its inception in 1996, the New York Times reports. The winner, who will be announced in the fall, will also receive a solo exhibition in the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York in spring 2009.
