ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.—Bard College has announced plans to house the first permanent public installation in the United States by the Danish/Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson, the New York Times reports. Construction of The Parliament of Reality, a 135-foot-wide pond with an island in its center, begins in March and is expected to be completed by June. The installation will be situated across from the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College, which was designed by Frank Gehry.
