LONDON—Bonhams plans to hold its first Middle East sale, featuring works by contemporary Arab, Iranian, Indian, and Pakistani artists, from March 2 to 4, Bloomberg reports. The auction, which was postponed from November and will take place at Dubai's Royal Mirage Hotel, follows the auction house's formation of a local venture with the al-Tajir family. The sale will feature Indian artist Francis Newton Souza's The Elder (1955), estimated to sell for up to $300,000, as well as works by Syrian painter Louay Kayyali and Iranian artist Nasser Ovissi.
