The nonprofit Flag Art Foundation, who sources say was recently created by collector Glenn Fuhrman, (who is also co-head of MSD Capital, a company formed to manage the finances of computer billionaire Michael Dell) has established the gallery, where the first show, "Attention to Detail," with works from Louise Bourgeois, Gerhard Richter, Ed Ruscha, and others will run through April.
Structured similary to Los Angeles collector Eli Broad’s art foundation, Flag Art will lend works, presumably largely from Fuhrman’s own collection, as well as host two or three guest-curated shows of established and emerging international artists at its gallery each year. |
