NEW YORK—At an 11 a.m. news conference tomorrow, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the Public Art Fund will announce a new public installation by Olafur Eliasson in New York’s East River, the New York Sun reports.

The installation will consist of a series of freestanding waterfalls, each rising 60 to 70 feet above the river, which will be visible from waterfront areas in downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn, as well from the Governors Island Ferry.

The project is set to coincide with Eliasson's retrospective—"Take Your Time"—which will be on view at the Museum of Modern Art and P.S.1 from April 20 through June 30. The traveling exhibition is currently on view at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
