LONDON—Sotheby's will sponsor Tate Britain's sculpture program, the Duveens Commission, for three years, allowing a new work to be created and shown annually instead of every two years, Bloomberg reports.

Tate also announced that 2001 Turner prizewinner Martin Creed—best known Work No. 227: The lights going on and off, an empty room with flickering lights—has been chosen for this year's commission.

Duveens artists earn $5,880, and their work occupies Tate Britain's upper level. Last year, Mark Wallinger's Duveens commission, State Britain, helped him win the 2007 Turner Prize.
