Another gift comes from Carey Schwartz, a Brandeis alum. These works — by Jim Dingilian, Ori Gersht, Shai Kremer, Gillian Laub, Lorrain O’Grady, and Christian Xatrec — comprise the first installment of a planned annual gift of works by emerging international artists meant to be shown in areas around the university campus with heavy student and public traffic. Boston collectors Joan and David Genser as well as Rose Board of Overseers' members Jonathan Novak, Marlene Persky, and Gerald Fineberg also contributed gifts. "This has been an amazing year for the Rose collection," says Rose director Michael Rush. |
