SHANGHAI—BusinessWeek and Architectural Record have teamed up for the second biannual "Good Design Is Good Business" China Awards. The jury has chosen 13 projects from more than 100 entries from all over China as the winners, as well as the award for this year's best client, given to real-estate developer China Vanke.

Award categories cover a wide range of projects, from urban and cultural buildings to individual homes to the best green initiatives. Among the winners for best public projects are three museums — the Liangzhu Culture Museum, designed by David Chipperfield Architects and ZTUDI, the Architectural Design and Research Institute at Zhejiang University of Technology; the Dafen Art Museum, designed by Urbanus Architecture & Design; and the Suzhou Museum, designed by I.M. Pei with Pei Partnership Architects and the Suzhou Institute of Architectural Design.

Other winners include the Dutch Ambassador's Residence in Beijing by Dirk Jan Postel/Kraaijvanger Urbis and Royal Haskoning among best residential projects, and the Shanghai Office of Horizon Design by J.J. Pan & Partners as the best historic preservation project.

The awards ceremony will take place in Shanghai on May 23.
