ROME—About 1,000 artifacts found in a raid of the home of a wealthy engineer outside Rome have been traced to one of Emperor Trajan's first-century villas, reports the New York Times via CBC News. Archaeologists say the pieces came from the walls of what is believed to be Trajan's hunting retreat in Arcinazzo Romano. The engineer, who has not been identified, used them as decorations. Police did not provide a date for the raid but indicated it took place more than a year ago.
