Armory Week Special Edition

NEW YORK—Armory Week in New York is always a time to party, and this year was no exception. This week the Armory Show, which runs from March 27 through March 30 at Pier 94, hosted a VIP preview as well as an exclusive dinner, where the art world elite promenaded, hobnobbed, and celebrated the tenth anniversary of what has become New York's go-to fair for those seeking the newest in international art.

ARTINFO spotted everyone from art world celebs John Waters and Mary Heilmann, the show's commissioned artists, to film industry hotshots Matt Dlilon and Michael Lynne, co-founder of New Line Cinema.

Also this week, Louise Blouin MacBain (CEO and publisher of ARTINFO's parent company, Louise Blouin Media) hosted a party to celebrate the April issue of Modern Painters magazine. On the guest list were Lance Armstrong, Patricia Clarkson, Mort Zuckerman, Marilyn Minter, and Jerry Saltz — to name just a few.
