PARIS—French producer and film director
Claude Berri has opened an art gallery in Paris, Bloomberg reports. The gallery,
Espace Claude Berri, was designed by architect
Jean Nouvel and is situated in a cobbled alley near the
Pompidou Center. Berri, an avid collector, plans to show art from his own collection — which includes pieces by
Magritte,
Dali,
Richard Serra, and
Jeff Wall — as well as other works by some of his favorite artists. The first exhibition spotlights French multi-media artist
Gilles Barbier. Any sales will be split between Berri and the artists' dealers.
