Nick Walker, an old friend of street-art star Banksy from Bristol, is taking street art to a new level this week. Instead of spray-painting on buildings, Walker will project images onto some of the British capital's landmarks tomorrow using "a giant laser beam," reports Bloomberg. The locations of the displays are being kept secret.
Like Banksy, Walker has achieved commercial success with his graffiti-inspired work. In February he sold a 2006 spray-painted work, Moona Lisa, for a record £54,000 ($106,660) at Bonhams's "Urban Art" auction. His next show opens at Black Rat Gallery in Shoreditch on April 17. The forty paintings on offer will range in price from £3,500 to £30,000.
