OSLO—The Munch Museum, best known for housing Norwegian Expressionist Edvard Munch's masterworks The Scream and Madonna, is moving across town, reports the New York Times via the Agence France-Presse. The museum will be part of a cultural center that includes another museum and a library, and will be built on the banks of the Oslo Fjord behind the city's futuristic new opera house. It is scheduled to be inaugurated in 2014, when Norway celebrates the 200th anniversary of the signing of its constitution. The Scream and Madonna were stolen from the museum in 2004, retrieved two years later, and put back on display last week.
