MELBOURNE—Australian photographer
Victoria Larielle will exhibit a series of nude photographs of children to protest the
controversy surrounding Bill Henson's photographs of naked 12- and 13-year-olds, the
Financial Times reports. Larielle's works from 2001, which are not for sale, depict two nude 11-year-old boys and will go on view at
The Loop bar in Melbourne today under the title, "I am not a photographer nor a pedophile but an artist." Larielle said she received permission from the models and their parents to show the photographs, and that she was not concerned about coming under investigation, like Henson, because "I completely know where my intent is for my art and my images."
