Also hosting a London exhibition this month—from July 2 through 12, in a temporary space at 8 Duke Street—are fellow Florentine gallerists Emanuele and Leonardo Piacenti, 27 and 24, respectively. The fratelli Piacenti are offering such gems as Gian Domenico Cerrini?s circa 1665 allegorical Truth Rewarded, showing a voluptuously bare-breasted blonde reaching out to a stern white-bearded man said torepresent recompense, and the Baroque painter Mattia Preti?s portrait Pindaro, circa 1630, in which the Greek poet’s deepset dark eyes stare alluringlyat the viewer. "Young and Old" originally appeared in the July 2008 issue of Art+Auction. For a complete list of articles from the July issue available on ARTINFO, see Art+Auction's July 2008 Table of Contents.
