UPenn's Art Institute Announces Free Admission for Five YearsBy ARTINFO

PHILADELPHIA—Thanks to a gift from UPenn alumnus Glenn R. Fuhrman, admission to the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) at the University of Pennsylvania will be free to the public beginning on July 1, 2008. The gift will underwrite admissions for the next five years, allowing access to all its exhibitions. The museum will celebrate with a opening reception free to the publicon September 4. The event will kick off the ICA's fall exhibitionschedule, which includes the work of artists Douglas Blau, Robert Crumb, Kate Gilmore, and Odili Donald Odita. University President Amy Gutmann remarked, "This wonderful initiative reinforces the University's commitment to engagement with the community, both locally and globally."
