PRAGUE—Three Czech artists who superimposed a nuclear mushroom cloud on a television weather report were fined 50,000 koruna ($3,210) each, reports the New York Times via Agence France-Presse. The threesome hacked into a broadcast of Czech Televison's CT2 channel for 39 seconds last June. According to the perpetrators, who are part of the Ztohoven art collective, they were trying to draw attention to the network's failure to carry out its public broadcasting mission. Seven members of the collective were acquitted of similar scaremongering charges in March.
