NEW YORK—An online photo archive of the work of photojournalist Stanley Tretick, best known for his images of the Kennedy White House, is now available to the public, according to the New York Times. The writer Kitty Kelley, the legal representative of Tretick's estate and a close friend of the photojournalist before his death in 1999, created stanleytretick.com so that libraries, art historians, and collectors could have access to his work. The site includes over 8,000 photographs.

Tretick's close relationship with the Kennedys allowed him to take many well-known photographs of the family. One of his most famous pictures, taken a month before President Kennedy's assasination, shows John Kennedy Jr. playing under his father's oval office desk. Tretick also covered Senator Robert F. Kennedy's presidential campaign in 1968, as well as the Senate Watergate hearings.
