Pitt, it turns out, has long been a fan and collector of Knox (1864–1933); according to Daniel Morris of New York's Historical Design, Inc., he started buying up his Celtic-inspired objects in silver and pewter in the early 1990s when he was in London filming Interview with a Vampire. "He bought most of the top things in our first Knox exhibition in 1995. I think it's very possible that he named his son after Knox." According to celebrity watcher Us magazine, the name could also have something to do with Pitt's grandfather, Hal Knox Hillhouse, who died when the actor was 11. Knox Leon was born on July 12, minutes before his twin sister Vivienne Marcheline. |
