LONDON—Following a major exhibition of her photographs at the V&A Museum last year, the artist, fashion model, Surrealist muse, and war photographer Lee Miller is to be the subject of a new play, film, and exhibition, reports the Guardian.

Miller's son, Antony Penrose, has written the play, which will premiere at West Dean College in Chichester in September and will star Miller's granddaughter, Ami Bouhasssane. The work draws heavily from the artist's diaries and letters and is titled The Angel and the Fiend, after a line in which Miller said, "I looked like an angel, but I was a fiend inside." The college will also show a selection of her photographs.

Meanwhile, John Maybury, director of the recent Dylan Thomas biopic The Edge of Love and the 1998 film Love Is the Devil, about Francis Bacon, has just received a lottery fund award to write a script for a new film, The Lives of Lee Miller.
